Is your kid scratching too much lately? This could be the reason

Kids are bundles of energy. What joy it is to watch them roll in the grass, splash in puddles, and run around chasing butterflies! Even while indoors it’s difficult for them to sit still. As a parent, you think an active child is a happy child – until you notice them scratching away and that one nasty boil shows up. There’s always the fear that it could escalate into something more severe.

Asking them how they got the mark will get you nothing more than a shrug. At that age, it’s difficult for kids to explain the whys and the wherefores of a minor injury. There’s always a strong possibility that it could be a mosquito bite. Mosquitoes breed in any open-standing water source. You’ll need to make sure there’s no stagnant water near your home. Potholes, open marshland, and open storage drums are some places where water collects and provides an active breeding ground for mosquitoes.

Develop a habit of applying four dots of Goodknight Fabric Roll-On on your child’s garments before they head out to play. It leaves no stains and also has a pleasant odor. More importantly, it will protect them from mosquitoes for up to eight hours. With its purely natural ingredients such as citronella and eucalyptus oil, you can rest assured that your child is safe from these pests – without incurring any side effects. No wonder that pediatricians certify it as being absolutely safe for children.

Another solution is to use Goodknight Patches. These are small circular badges that can be stuck to a child’s t-shirt or top. They don’t leave stains either and are available in 30 designs featuring trendy cartoon characters such as Chhota Bheem and Chutki. It’s a must-have item when you’re travelling with your child.

While indoors, there are a few precautions you can take to prevent mosquitoes from breeding, such as:

  • Cleaning water from flowerpots and vases at least every other day
  • Checking if there’s water collected in AC trays and coolers
  • Keeping the area around the commode clean and dry
  • Turning buckets upside down when not in use to avoid water collecting
  • Using dustbins with lids and cleaning them twice a day
  • Installing meshes on doors and windows to prevent mosquitoes from getting in

Apart from these basic precautions, using a good quality mosquito repellent like Goodknight Gold Flash System can drive mosquitoes away. This plug-and-go system allows you to switch between Normal mode and Activ mode, depending on the severity of the mosquito problem in your area. The device, while quite powerful in Normal mode, is even more so in Activ mode. It doesn’t consume too much power and is absolutely safe to be used around children and pets.

No mother can bear to see her child suffering. A few easy precautions such as these can help you keep your child healthy, smiling, happy, and itch-free. Together we can #MakeIndiaMalariaFree.
